New details from administration e-mails about last year’s attacks on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, demonstrate that an intense bureaucratic clash took place between the State Department and the CIA over which agency would get to tell the story of how the tragedy unfolded.

That clash played out in the development of administration talking points that have been at the center of the controversy over the handling of the incident, according to the e-mails that came to light Friday.

My Comment: Wow .... after 7 months the Washington Post is finally covering the Benghazi story with their top reporters. As to their report .... sadly .... they are 7 months behind. The only thing that I can add to it is that then CIA Director Petraeus did finally sign onto the Benghazi talking points .... thereby giving the White House the cover they needed on this story. With hindsight ..... the CIA Director should not have signed on .... and if pressured .... he should have resigned. But he did sign on .... hence we are where we are today.

On a side note .... another big surprise .... a mea culpa/confession from a BBC reporter that he was wrong on Benghazi .... i.e.  it is a big story that needs to be investigated and followed.
