It was his family's mission to bring home the bomb-sniffing dog who saved his life three years ago.

Now former Lance Corporal Bradley O'Keefe has finally been reunited with Earl, the black Labrador, who saved 13 members of his U.S. Army unit from the brink of death by alerting them to an explosive.

While O'Keefe, seriously injured by the eruption, was sent home to the U.S., Earl was sent back into service.

O'Keefe had lost hope of again seeing his former partner in arms, until his step-sister Rachel Lawson intervened to track down Earl.
