Taliban Prisoners Freed By Karzai Resume Insurgency Activities -- Khaama Press

Around 40 Taliban militants who were freed from prison following a decree by Afghan president Hamid Karzai have rejoined Taliban group to fight Afghan security forces.

Provincial secuirty chief, Zarawar Zahid on Tuesday said reliable evidences shows that the Taliban militants who were freed under a decree by president Hamid Karazai have resumed fight against the Afghan security forces in this province.

Mr. Zahid further added that two Taliban militants who were freed from Kohbad prison were killed by Afghan police while they were planting roadsdie bombs.
