Obama: 'I Don't See Snowden As A Patriot' -- USA Today
WASHINGTON -- President Obama said Friday that former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden is not a patriot for leaking details of previously secret U.S. surveillance programs.
"No I don't see Mr. Snowden as a patriot," said Obama, who added that Snowden has been charged with three felonies for the leaks.
The president's comments came in a 50-minute news conference at the White House, one day before he sets off for a week-long vacation on Martha's Vineyard

Did he just say what I think he said?
Wait, no, ok he did didn't he..
He just said "Before Snowden made these leaks, my preferance, and I would think the American peoples preferance, would be for a lawful, orderly examination of these laws. A thoughtful fact based debate.".
Yet we all know, and he knows too well, that the NSA programs would have carried on without any review, without any public knowledge and without anyone being the wiser on what the NSA has been up too.
Obama has said some things in the past that smelt funny, but this is one of those things that just makes you go, "What?".
Also, if he signed an executive order giving protection to whistle blowers in the intelligence area, why isn't this order in effect as of now? Is he just making it up, or did he sign such an order? Did he back-track on his order now due to the leaks?
