IAEA: Iran Invites Inspectors To Visit Arak Nuclear Site -- CNN
(CNN) -- The International Atomic Energy Agency will accept Iran's invitation to send inspectors to visit its Arak heavy-water production plant on December 8, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano said Thursday.
"We have not yet answered, but it is for sure that we'll do this activity," he told reporters in Vienna, Austria. "We will visit the site, we will do our necessary activities and we will report the facts to the Board of Governors," he said.
But, he added, "I'm not in a position to share the details of the activities -- this is a part of the safeguard activities, verification activities."

My Comment: What I find interesting in the above news report from Press TV (an Iranian news agency) is that the announcer makes the point that they are inviting inspectors in even though they are not obliged to by the recent nuclear deal that was agreed to last week. Huh!?!?!?!? What is the point of agreeing to last week nuclear deal when inspection will not be involved? Or was nuclear inspection a detail that was not even discussed? It is hearing and reading news reports like this that I cannot help but feel that last weeks publicized nuclear agreement with Iran was nothing more but an exercise by the West to just agree to something to say that they have achieved a major agreement .... but when the details are looked at there is no agreement to curtail nuclear activity but just an agreement to start the process of eliminating sanctions and to placate Iranian demands. As to the Iranian invitation to the UN to inspect their nuclear sites .... no suprirse ... Iran is not inviting these inspectors to known nuclear-military sites such as the Parchin military complex.
