RAF pilots were left flying ‘blind’ at speeds of more than 1,000mph when a series of terrifying visual glitches struck their revolutionary helmets.

The new headgear was meant to give the ‘top guns’ all-around vision and awareness, but a technical fault left them unable to see where they were flying the £100 million Joint Strike Fighters (JSFs).

Instead, they were disorientated by radar pictures and a mass of multiple images beamed on to the inside of their visors from cameras mounted around the aircraft.

My Comment: What can I say but one more setback in the F-35 program.
