The Norweigan army has announced it will feed soldiers a vegetarian diet once a week in an effort to cut down on ecologically unfriendly foods.

'Meatless Mondays' have been introduced at one of the country's main bases and will soon be rolled out to all units in a boycott of food whose production contributes heavily to global warming.

With livestock farming accounting for almost 20 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, the army's proposal has been welcomed by environmental groups.

My Comment: Here is a prediction .... I can see a similar push in other NATO countries .... including in the U.S. military.

Right - so to cut down on the flatulence of farm animals being raised for meat, they will now increase the consumption of beans and legumes to humans.

Does anyone see a flaw in this argument?
