Why The Iranian Nuclear Deal Is Dangerous -- Eli Lake
There’s a reason Iran’s foreign minister has been smiling—he finally got the world’s great powers to sign a deal that lets Iran enrich uranium.
For years the United States has pressed other countries to support and enforce U.N. Security Council resolutions that demand Iran stop all of its enrichment activities and enter negotiations. On Sunday morning in Geneva, U.S. negotiators signed an interim agreement that would tolerate “a mutually-agreed long-term comprehensive solution” for Iran, according to the text of the deal.
The agreement signed in Geneva says Iran and six world powers will negotiate over the next six months “would involve a mutually defined enrichment program with practical limits and transparency measures to ensure the peaceful nature of the program.”

My Comment: What is my take of this agreement .... this is a win-win in every-way for the Iranian regime. I do not see inspectors being given permission to visit Iran's nuclear facilities on military sites. This agreement gives Iran permission (and a right) to continue with it's enrichment program .... albeit to 5%. Iran's uranium enrichment capabilities will not be dismantled, as had been demanded by U.N. resolutions. Iran's expansion of it's nuclear plants can proceed. Iran can deal with precious metals in international trade .... a way to derail sanctions if they should decide to do so (which they are doing everyday). But the real sore point for me is this one .... the deal legitimizes Iran's status as a nuclear threshold state, which in turn will now probably set off a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.
