IAEA: Monitoring Iran Nuclear Deal Will Take Time -- Voice of America

The head of the U.N. nuclear agency says it will "take some time" for his organization to prepare to monitor a landmark nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers.

The agreement, signed Sunday in Geneva, calls for Iran to limit or freeze sensitive parts of its nuclear program for six months in return for limited relief from international sanctions. But no start date for the deal has been announced.

Japan And South Korea Defy Chinese Air Defence Zone -- The Guardian

Tokyo says patrol planes will continue to operate over East China Sea, and Seoul says navy plane flew over disputed rock

Japanese and South Korean military aircraft flew through disputed airspace over the East China Sea without informing China, officials said on Thursday, challenging a new Chinese air defence zone that has increased regional tensions and sparked concerns of an unintended clash.

China rejected South Korea's demand for the repeal of the zone but appeared to soften its demand that commercial aircraft tell its military authorities of any plans to pass through the area. Japan's two biggest airlines have already begun defying that order.
