Kenya Deploys Troops To Stop Bloody Sectarian Clashes

Fresh Ethnic Violence Erupts in Northern Kenya -- Voice of America

Kenyan officials and relief workers say fresh clashes erupted between rival ethnic groups in the country's north on Saturday, a day after the government moved to deploy troops to the troubled region.

Officials say several people were killed on Saturday, in fighting near the town of Moyale.

They say clashes over the past week have killed dozens of people and forced over 1,000 civilians to flee across the border into Ethiopia.
