America's Dwindling Economic Freedom -- Terry Miller, Wall Street Journal
Regulation, taxes and debt knock the U.S. out of the world's top 10.
World economic freedom has reached record levels, according to the 2014 Index of Economic Freedom, released Tuesday by the Heritage Foundation and The Wall Street Journal. But after seven straight years of decline, the U.S. has dropped out of the top 10 most economically free countries.
For 20 years, the index has measured a nation's commitment to free enterprise on a scale of 0 to 100 by evaluating 10 categories, including fiscal soundness, government size and property rights. These commitments have powerful effects: Countries achieving higher levels of economic freedom consistently and measurably outperform others in economic growth, long-term prosperity and social progress. Botswana, for example, has made gains through low tax rates and political stability.

My Comment: I was born in Russia .... grew up in Ukraine .... lived in China/Hong Kong/South Korea/Japan .... and I now live (permanently) in Canada. If there is one thing that I have learned in my travels is that economic freedom has an impact not only on prosperity but also on a country's political/social environment. Less economic freedom is a road that you do not want to find yourself on .... unfortunately .... this is the road that the U.S. has decided to take and I know too well that the consequences on prosperity and social stability will be felt in the years and decades to come.

5% Han Chinese control 95% of Singapore's Economy. No Tamil, however qualified and usually dark skinned, will ever be a Head of State of Singapore.
And why are people protesting on the streets of Hong Kong if they deserve #1 status?
Australia #3 and New Zealand #5 will never have an Aborigine or Pacific Islander Dark Skin as a Head of State or in any Cabinet position nor in any senior executive position in public bureaucracy or private institutions.
And the Top 50 includes Racist, Bigoted and Apartheid States like Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, Botswana, Columbia, Jordan, Brunei, and ahem... Israel?

Which White Circumcised Cognitively-Challenged Jew creates these Index that White Supremacists in Heritage Foundation and Wall Street Journal dares to publish as Facts?
I find this kind of media propaganda by WSJ worse than the hey days of Soviet Parvda or Hitler's Germany.
Yet another justification why New York - Washington DC deserves to be Nuked.
