Navy Helicopter Crashes In Atlantic; One Dead, One Missing -- ABC News

A Navy MH-53E helicopter with five crew members aboard crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Virginia Beach Tuesday morning.

One crew member who was among four rescued and taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital has died and the search continues for another missing crew member, said Mike Maus, a spokesman with Naval Air Forces Atlantic.

The MH-53E "Sea Dragon" was on a routine training mission with another MH-53 E helicopter at 11 a.m. when it "made an emergency water landing in the Atlantic Ocean about 20 miles east of the Fort Story/Virginia beach area," Navy spokesman Cmdr. Mike Kafka said.
