UN Envoy: Syria Talks to Resume on Saturday -- Voice of America

GENEVA — Representatives of the Syrian government and opposition are to meet face-to-face for the first time Saturday in Geneva, after days of mutual threats to withdraw from the talks.

The United Nations and Arab League mediator, veteran Algerian diplomat Lakhdar Brahimi made the announcement after two days of meeting separately with the two sides.

“Tomorrow, we expect, we have agreed, that we will meet in the same room,” he said.
