Kerry Says Obama Wants New Options for Syria Strife -- New York Times

BEIJING — Secretary of State John Kerry said on Friday that President Obama had asked aides to develop new policy options to deal with the deteriorating situation in Syria.

Mr. Kerry said that none of the policy options had yet been presented to the White House for a decision.

“He has asked all of us to think about various options that may or may not exist,” Mr. Kerry said at a news conference during a visit here to meet with China’s leaders about North Korea and other regional issues.

My Comment: I am not holding my breath that a U.S. military option will be on the table when it comes to Syria.  There is no political or public will for such a U.S. intervention .... and President Obama knows that .... and so does Syria, Russia, Iran, etc..
