Update: Ukraine Accord Signed, Despite Doubts in Kiev and Kremlin -- New York Times

My Comment: After yesterday's bloody shootout in the city center .... it looks like everyone decided to take a step back. And while I do applaud the fact that an agreement has been reached .... because the alternative is too horrible to contemplate .... I am deeply worried that it will be broken in the next few weeks/months and the cycle of violence will just continue again.

Update: On a side note .... because some of my readers know that I have family in Ukraine .... they want to know if I am making plans to go to Kiev. Truth be known ... we made a decision at Christmas time to visit in August of this year .... and yes .... I will be going regardless of what is happening on the streets. I will also be visiting Russia after Ukraine .... so do not be surprise if blogging is light during that time.
