Pro-Russian leaders in Crimea have made final preparations for a referendum widely expected to transfer control of the region to Russia, despite denunciation by Ukraine and threats of Western sanctions.

My Comment: The violence has been ongoing in eastern Ukraine for weeks (and by both sides). But it is only now that the Western media is beginning to notice. Bottom line .... Ukraine - Russian violence is occurring throughout the country (not necessarily the eastern part) .... and by both sides. This situation is unraveling .... and fast.
