There Has Been No U.S. Drone Strikes In Pakistan For The Past 3 Months

No Drone Attack In Past 90 Days, A Good Sign: Nawaz Sharif -- GEO TV

LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Tuesday said that Americans had not carried out even a single drone attack in the past 90 days, which was a good sign (for the peace talks with Taliban), Geo News reported.

“Our opposition to drones is known to the whole world and we have always said that using drones was a wrong policy and counter-productive.

There have been no strikes in the last 90 days or so and there should be no strikes again,” he said while speaking to Pakistani media after reaching London from The Hague, where he met several world leaders.

The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban had set a halt to drone attacks on militant hideouts in the tribal belt as the top precondition for peace talks with the government of Pakistan.

My Comment: The U.S. is waiting on the outcome of the Pakistan - Taliban peace talks. But I can only assume that if these "peace talks" collapse .... U.S. strikes will resume with a vengeance.
