Update: Putin to Obama: Use your influence to prevent bloodshed in Ukraine -- RT

My Comment: I would bet that the first thing that was discussed was President Obama's denying reports that the U.S. was going to ship arms to Ukraine .... an idea that was speculated openly by a senior US State Department official earlier in the day. The other topics probably included CIA Director's secret trip to Ukraine .... that raised some red flags in Moscow, as well as Russian fighter jets buzzing U.S. naval warships ... that raised some red flags in Washington. In short .... this was a phone call to de-escalate tensions.
