MOSCOW, April 3 (Reuters) - U.S. policymakers need to calm down, maybe do some yoga and accept that Crimea is now part of Russia, a senior Russian diplomat said on Thursday in unusually caustic remarks directed at Moscow's former Cold War-era adversary.

Russia's annexation of Ukraine's Crimea region last month has deepened the worst East-West crisis since the Cold War ended two decades ago. The West has imposed sanctions on officials and businessmen believed to be close to President Vladimir Putin.

Many of those blacklisted have mocked the sanctions, wearing them as a badge of honour, but they have also rankled Moscow, with officials warning the West was only doing damage to itself.

Oooh, the yoga shot was a good one. This Admin is so used to controlling the story and having it's enemies run and cow at the first press release that it's unprepared to deal with a serious PR fight.

I agree about the crack about yoga. The attitude could well have taken a page from the playbook of Obama and his "ObamaCare wins, get over it!" presser yesterday.

On a more ominous note: These things show not only does Putin have the US's Administration's number, but they are not afraid to be very public about it. The Russians are coming off as the "cool professionals, politically and militarily" and the West as disorganized, inept, panicky, and immature.
