Kingdom spent $67bn in 2013, according to report - giving it the fourth largest military budget in the world.

Middle Eastern nations increased their military expenditure by billions of dollars last year, with Saudi Arabia's budget now the fourth largest in the world, according to figures from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.

My Comment: The entire region is now in a perpetual state of war or some form of internal conflict. Iraq, Syria, Yemen are now undergoing insurgencies or outright civil war. Iran's nuclear program is still ongoing ... and they are still threatening their neighbors. Egypt is in turmoil. Lebanon on the brink of another civil war. If I was part of the ruling family in the House of Saud .... I would be advocating an even more robust military and national security force.

How is Iran threatening its neighbors? The nuclear investigators went into Iran and they were welcomed by Iran to enter yet they found no proof whatsoever of iran achieving nuclear might. So there was no evidence of them even trying to get hold of nukes never mind trying to threaten its neighbors with empty hands. The editor of this website is either biased or ignorant
