U.S. Government Charging Chinese Officials With Hacking Into American Companies To Steal Trade Secrets -- Daily Mail
* Attorney General Eric Holder is expected to announce the criminal charges Monday afternoon
* Will name specific Chinese government officials who will be accused of committing cyber espionage on behalf of a former government
* The officials are believed to have hacked into the computers of American companies and stolen trade secrets
* Individuals will be considered international fugitives after the charges
* Names of the companies involved have not been released
* Case against the foreign government officials will be the first of its kind
The United States is preparing to announce criminal charges against Chinese military officials in an international cyber-espionage case, a government official said today.
Attorney General Eric Holder and other federal law enforcement officials are expected to reveal the new indictments later this afternoon.
The indictments will accuse individuals of participating in cyber-espionage on behalf of a foreign government though any further details about the charges have not yet been released.
