CIA Director: U.S. Doing ‘Everything We Can’ to Find Nigerian Kidnapped Girls -- Fusion

Authorities from the U.S. and international groups are doing everything possible to find hundreds of abducted Nigerian school girls, CIA Director John Brennan said Saturday.

Last month, the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram kidnapped 276 girls from their school and threatened to sell them into slavery. The incident has provoked worldwide outrage and a response from foreign governments.

“Well, we and our partners … are doing everything we can to find the location of those girls and to bring them home to their families,” Brennan told Fusion’s Jorge Ramos in an exclusive interview.

Hello Mr WNU Editor, whilst I appreciate the thrust of your post is Russia/US relations, I was very impressed by the words of Ms Ali in the following article over in the opinions of WSJ - if you have not read anything about her, hopefully you will now and in the future.
A truly courageous woman who says it as it is...

"How to explain this phenomenon to baffled Westerners, who these days seem more eager to smear the critics of jihadism as "Islamophobes" than to stand up for women's most basic rights? Where are the Muslim college-student organizations denouncing Boko Haram? Where is the outrage during Friday prayers? These girls' lives deserve more than a Twitter hashtag protest." .....

..."I am often told that the average Muslim wholeheartedly rejects the use of violence and terror, does not share the radicals' belief that a degenerate and corrupt Western culture needs to be replaced with an Islamic one, and abhors the denigration of women's most basic rights.

Well, it is time for those peace-loving Muslims to do more, much more, to resist those in their midst who engage in this type of proselytizing before they proceed to the phase of holy war.

It is also time for Western liberals to wake up. If they choose to regard Boko Haram as an aberration, they do so at their peril. The kidnapping of these schoolgirls is not an isolated tragedy; their fate reflects a new wave of jihadism that extends far beyond Nigeria and poses a mortal threat to the rights of women and girls.

If my pointing this out offends some people more than the odious acts of Boko Haram, then so be it."

I find your comment extremly offensive and disturbing. Who heck are you to make a comment like that.

Boko haram is so bad that even Al Qaeda slammed them for their action citing as them being too extreme. So do you think normal muslims around the world can do anything about it?

We cant do anything but pray because nowadays, we muslims are living through a very "contained" times, meaning we get called terrorist for anything.

And about the Womens rights:
You dont know Anything about my peacful religion, u live in a world where we misunderstood and hated. Of course u will hear bad about us.
It takes muslims 6-13 years to study their own religion in a islamic boarding school (my bro will go soon), so you think that these ignorant people that judge our religion within minuits are correct?

Treating women correctly is very important in my religion, we are not allowed to hurt a fly (litterally) so u think it makes sense to abuse women?

Boko haram are simply gangsters who pulled out a publicity stunt, EVEN Al qaeda knows they aint muslims, even though they themselves arnt one.

I wish peace between our nations, and may Allab guide u
