Thailand Military Seizes Power In Coup -- BBC
Thailand's military has announced it is taking control of the government and has suspended the constitution.
In a TV statement, army chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha vowed to restore order and enact political reforms.
The cabinet has been told to report to the military, TV broadcasting is suspended and political gatherings are banned. A nationwide curfew will operate from 22:00 to 05:00 local time.
The coup follows months of political turmoil in Thailand.
On Tuesday the army imposed martial law. Talks were then held between the main political factions, but the army announced the coup on Thursday.
Key political figures, including opposition protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban and pro-government protest leader Jatuporn Prompan, were taken away from the talks venue after troops sealed off the area.

Wonder if it even will be an election in Ukraine because the president is prepering an offensive to clean the east. From your friends in Ukraine are they seeing more tank and an preperation for a mass offensive from the Ukrainien government? Lughansk altso is recrouting more civilians to a millitia army. From my media NRK it says that four coal mines is uner siege and the seperatist want exsplosives. Are they armin up to cause teror on tge election day? Thats my questions to you this day.
Apparently the Ukraine military is preparing an offensive .... but they are limited by supplies and resources. Today's ambush that killed 11 Ukrainian soldiers and wounded 33 is a shock to them .... they were not ready for such an attack. It is true that the rebel government in Luhansk has announced a general mobilization .... but I do not know if they are getting the 'recruits' that they want. Kiev wants to open polling stations in the eastern part of the country .... but they are now realizing that with only a few days left .... it is not going to happen.
