Russian Media Reports: Pro-Russian Separatists Have Shot Down A Fighter Plane Su-25 And A Ukrainian Helicopter Gunship After A Day Of Heavy Fighting

Air Attack On Pro-Russian Separatists In Luhansk Kills 8, Stuns Residents -- CNN

(CNN) -- Bloodstained pavement, a woman's compact, a pair of shattered spectacles, a single shoe covered in dust were among the debris left by a devastating series of explosions that hit the headquarters of the pro-Russian separatists in the eastern Ukrainian city of Luhansk on Monday.

The carnage was sudden, unexpected. This was the middle of a city, a building adjacent to a leafy square, where civilians walked and worked. Eight people were killed, five women and three men, according to the self-declared Luhansk People's Republic; the authorities in Kiev reported the same tally.

But there the agreement ends.

My Comment: I am now receiving reports from social media that Ukraine is about to declare martial law in Donetsk and Luhansk.

Reports of Ukrainian military units conducting indiscriminate bombings and shootings resulting in numerous civilian casualties are also being reported throughout the region .... the above CNN report is revealing.

Modern weapons are now starting to show up in the hands of many pro-Russian separatists .... this includes new guns, RPGs, anti-tank weapons, and shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles. This supply of weapons is (for me) the first serious sign that Russia has decided to become directly involved in this conflict. With the violence and refugee crisis now exploding exponentially .... no one should be surprised if we start hearing reports in the next week or two that Moscow may use it's military to intervene in eastern Ukraine.

I have received two reports from two independent and reliable sources in the conflict zone that the Ukraine military has used cluster bombs on some targets. I have asked for pictures and/or videos for confirmation .... and if I receive them I will be posting them right away. I have also told my sources to not risk their lives .... it appears that the Ukraine military has adopted a shoot first and ask questions later policy .... thereby making the entire region literally a free-fire zone.

The bottom video clip shows two Ukraine helicopters engaged in heavy fighting with forces on the ground near the city of Slavyansk. 1:58 into the clip it becomes visible when the helicopter pilot engages his gun at ground targets. (Hat Tip: Zero Hedge)
