Army Vets Blast PC Police For Attacking Apache, Chinook Helicopters As Racist -- Washingtion Times
Veterans aren’t happy with a recent op-ed by the Washington Post, which charged that the Apache, Comanche, Chinook, Lakota, Cheyenne and Kiowa military vehicles were a “greater symbolic injustice” than the NFL’s Washington Redskins’ name.
“Even if the NFL and Redskins brass come to their senses and rename the team, a greater symbolic injustice would continue to afflict Indians — an injustice perpetuated not by a football club but by our federal government,” Simon Waxman of the Boston Review wrote for the Post on Thursday.
He added that the helicopter names were “propaganda” that needed to end, because Native American life expectancy statistics indicate the “violence is ongoing, even if the guns are silent.”

My Comment: I say that it respects their military traditions and history .... but that is just my opinion.

You know it's just SO dishonorable and it's raping their culture.
Like, oh, I dunno, naming tanks Patton, or Abrams or Sherman or ships the USS Kennedy, or USS Reagan or USS Samuel Johnston, or aircraft things like Lightning or Mustang or Raptor, or Eagle...Because the military TOTALLY wants to make fun of all those things.
Not like, note their good qualities and call upon their totems/spirits for their strengths or anything.

The Apache took the land from the Navajo, Hopi or some other Indian Tribe. A linguistic analysis shows they are form the Canadian rockies
