Kyiv Claims Heavy Rebel Losses as Fighting Rages On -- Voice of America

Ukraine government forces killed more than 300 separatist fighters and wounded at least 500 during the last 24 hours amid heavy fighting in and around the eastern city of Slovyansk, a spokesman for Kyiv’s “anti-terrorist operation” said.

Government troops used aircraft, helicopters and artillery against rebels who have controlled the area since April, spokesman Vladyslav Seleznyov said.

Separatists disputed the casualty count.

Poroshenko said that he wants to "reason" with the rebels and discuss federalization and amnesty. Are there any signs of the rebels acepting it?
