Airlines Are Now Avoiding Flying Over Eastern Ukraine

Flights Rerouted: Planes Avoiding Ukraine Airspace After Malaysia Airlines Crash -- RT

International passenger flights are avoiding Eastern Ukrainian airspace, following the crash of a Malaysian Airlines plane in Donetsk.

Airlines are also redirecting their flightpaths to avoid the area where flight MH17 crashed, according to Flightradar24.

NOTAM has also informed US airlines not to fly in the Ukraine area.

A number of airlines around the world have announced they are going to reroute flights to avoid Ukrainian airspace. The list of companies includes Russian Aeroflot, UTair and Transaero, German Lufthansa and Turkish airlines.

My Comment: This is cool .... the real-time interactive map of all airline flights around the world can be found here. Move the map to eastern Ukraine .... and you will see that no airlines are flying anywhere near that area right now.

Move the map to Iraq and see several flights over ISIS controlled areas.... How long before the same happens there?

Fabz .... I just mentioned the same thing to my brother half an hour ago. Also .... no surprise about Syria .... everyone is avoiding that place.
