Lebanese Rockets Hit Israel As Palestinian Death Toll In Conflict Exceeds 100 -- FOX News

Rockets fired by militants in Gaza reached deeper into Israel Friday, and a strike from Lebanon hit the northern part of the country, leading Israeli officials to suspect Lebanese fighters may be joining the four-day conflict.

The Lebanese military said three rockets were fired toward Israel around 6 a.m. and the Israelis retaliated by firing about 25 artillery shells on the area. Israeli military spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner confirmed that the Israeli military had responded to the new attack with force.

Lebanese troops and United Nations peacekeepers later began searching the area, and the military said it was trying to find out who was behind the attack.

Update: Report: Lebanon arrests man in connection to rocket fired at Israel -- Jerusalem Post

My Comment: Southern Lebanon is "Hezbollah country", and Hezbollah is completely focused on the Syrian civil war and the rise of ISIS ..... they are definitely not ready to take on and get involved in another war with Israel .... especially now. This missile attack from Lebanon was probably a rogue operation.

I don't think it will happen, nor do I think this was the work of Hezbollah.
Obviously I have no confirmed facts nor does anyone else at this stage, call it a gut feeling..

Lebanon arrests two Palestinians for suspected rocket fire on Israel
Lebanese forces say they arrested two Palestinian-Lebanese men on suspicion that they fired three rockets into Israeli territory early Friday morning.

According to Israel Radio, the two belong to the PFLP group.

Fragments of two rockets were found in an open area near Kiryat Shmona, on the Lebanese border earlier Friday

Lebanese forces found blood stains in a car, which they suspect belong to one of the individuals who fired the rocket, and was wounded either from the launch or from IDF retaliatory fire.

The missile from Lebanon was a rogue operation?

I'll buy that.

But it is enough of a pretext. Kick them while they are down.

Just a small Israeli incursion might accomplish something. Hezbollah might get rid of the rogues gratis because they don't want the complication right now. Everyone wins!

(Well not really. Hezbollah will use the Israeli incursion as a pretext at a later date.)
