White House: President Obama's Foreign Policy Has Improved 'Tranquility Of The Global Community'

WH: We've ‘Substantially Improved the Tranquility of the Global Community’ -- CNS

(CNSNews.com) – White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Monday the Obama administration’s foreign policies in a number of areas have enhanced the world’s “tranquility” – a word that raised eyebrows as reporters pointed to situations in Gaza, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Ukraine and the South China Sea.

More than one reporter during Monday’s press briefing referred to a front-page Wall Street Journal article highlighting some of those crises, and citing security strategists as saying “the breadth of global instability now unfolding hasn’t been seen since the late 1970s.”

My Comment: I cannot even make this up. I thought the former Press Secretary was a joke .... but this approaches levels that even Jay Carney would not even approach. But what makes the situation even more ridiculous is that the media in the press room are just sitting "lapping it up" like sitting (fill in the blank).

Was Josh being earnest here? Is he the real Josh? He might be referring to an alternative dimension in which America is an upstanding peaceful nation that ushered in world peace... If so, I'd like to go to this trippy place.

Or maybe he's just clinically insane. That might be it. What gets me is that he probably said those words and not even meant it, but his job requires him to give the President a good image, despite the fact that what he said shows that the President likes to employ liars and mediocre spin doctors among his administration.

Josh Earnest is a mercenary. He carries out the orders of his masters. In his case this means lying.

He expects to be well payed now and in the future. Why shouldn't he? He works for the winning team.

Well, of course we all realize "The Importance of Being Earnest" was Oscars crowning work, but not even he would imagine playing the White House. And this is the "Reality Based Community" at work and at it's best.
