Ukraine's President Seeks New Crisis Talks At Weekend, Fighting Rages -- Reuters
(Reuters) - Ukraine has proposed a time and a place for talks on Saturday on reaching a durable ceasefire with pro-Russian rebels and is awaiting a reply, the president's website said, as fighting in the east killed 13 servicemen.
The website did not name the venue but a Western diplomat expected the talks to be held again in eastern Ukraine's major industrial hub of Donetsk, where the rebels control key points.
In some of the worst violence since President Petro Poroshenko called off a 10-day unilateral ceasefire on June 30, Ukraine's "anti-terrorist operation" (ATO) headquarters said at least 13 Ukrainian military personnel had been killed on Friday.

My Comment: I expect thee peace talks to occur over the weekend .... but I doubt that any headway is going to be made. The Ukrainian President is still sticking to his position that the rebels must lay down their weapons and return home .... a proposal that the rebels (fearing arrest) have repeatedly refused to accept.

It looks like the pro russians are losing, wil the areas captured by Kievs forces stay calm or is it dissent in the teretories still?
2.
Is the risk of a Russian invation still there or wil Putin let the areas be taken back by Kiev?
3.
Are the pro-Russians making progress any place or are they just losing the war against Kiev?
4.
Will the fights spread to other regions in Ukraine like Kharkiv and Odessa or has the pro-Russians been contained?

Thats my questions since i wonder if the pro russians are setting the fights to a stand still or if they are just losing and the crisis will end. Hope you continue the crisis i think its finaly coming to an end.
Sorry wrote fail i ment: hope you continue covering the crisis, i think its finaly coming to an end.
1) I am surprised that it has taken the Ukraine military this long to make any headway. But the problem is not taking the territory .... the problem has always been to keep it. Once the Ukraine army goes to another town, the rebels will just return.
2) The risk of a Russian invasion is not there. When they have 150,000 soldiers on the border .... that is when i will say that they will move in.
3) The rebels are not spreading into other towns. they have always been focused on the provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk.
4) I do not see the rebellion going to Odessa or Kharkiv .... but pro-Russian sentiment is strong in these cities.
