Kerry And Iran's FM Seek To Break Deadlock On Nukes -- USA Today

With a Sunday deadline looming to seal a deal on its nuclear program, Iran may have softened its position on a crucial stumbling block during a meeting Monday with Secretary of State John Kerry in Vienna.

Iran has offered for the first time to reduce its nuclear enrichment capacity, not by reducing any of the 9,600 centrifuges it has running, but by slowing down the machines so they produce less enriched uranium that can be used to fuel reactors or bombs, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing unnamed participants in the talks. The report could not be confirmed.

The size of Iran's nuclear enrichment program and how long a comprehensive agreement would last remain the major sticking points.
