Israel Hamas War News Updates -- August 3, 2014

Shelling Near U.N. Shelter Draws Strong Condemnation From U.N., U.S. -- CNN

Jerusalem (CNN) -- The United States and the United Nations used the strongest language yet in condemning the latest strike on a U.N.-run shelter in Gaza, with Washington calling the attack "disgraceful."

At least nine people at the school, which was being used as a shelter for about 3,000 people, were killed in the shelling.

The Israel Defense Forces said that it targeted three Palestinian Islamic Jihad members riding a motorcycle in the vicinity of the school.

The IDF said it is reviewing the consequences of the strike but didn't say if the suspected militants were hit.

It first started that the IDF targeted the school, inside the compound, now it's outside and CNN say a motorcycle, ITV say a vehicle.

It's really too late for the truth, the damage is done and the condemnations are already in.

More hate rising within from average Joe with no understanding of the complexity of this conflict.

Europe at the moment is toxic with antisemitism from this sort of false reporting. It reminds me of 1939.

I'm not happy with what the MSM are saying.

Yet again it's a tragedy that innocents where hit but it would be nice to see some actual unbiased reporting from the MSM instead of parroting the Hamas line.

Look at the titles for the story on RT, Al Jazeera, Guardian and the others.

Whilst I appreciate that the two sources I will quote are Pro-Israel bloggers, at least they have the modicum to investigate, give sources and report facts, even when it goes against their views.

"UNRWA has now admitted that the IDF targeted people outside the school, and that those who were hit were 'around the gate.'"

http://israelmatzav.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/no-idf-did-not-attack-school-in-rafah.html

"It will take some time to find out the facts, but as usual, reporters are rushing into quote known liars like UNRWA spokespeople and the Gaza Ministry of Health without any mention of their unreliable record"

"If the IDF targeted a car, and knowing that the IDF usually uses fairly small missiles to hit cars, it seems quite possible that the car was carrying explosives or rockets that went off and ended up hurting and killing people outside the school. "

Either way it's not good for the IDF but it is a very different thing to 'shell' a school than it is to hit a vehicle outside.

Mattathias,
The MSM DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE TRUTH. First they'll report the lie with breathless headlines, then back track with new information (to cover their sorry asses) in sotto voce.

Whatever sells or gets the higher ratings, I know James, the truth is not the better story... It makes me very sad that a lot of the current antisemitism towards Jews around the world is driven by the MSM.

Got my eye on a book that I have been told is very good, it's called 'Making David into Goliath'.
It ties in with what we have written.
