The United States, the officials said, was caught by surprise: Egypt and the Emirates, both close allies and military partners, acted without informing Washington or seeking its consent, leaving the Obama administration on the sidelines. Al Qaeda is on the Run.

Libya is an example of Obama's smart power and Samantha Power's R2P.

It is really nice to get a Doctorate write a white paper and then get promoted to Ambassador.

Of course there is that old Klingon proverb.

Four thousand throats may be cut in one night by a running man ~ Klingon proverb.

Maybe the president did not lie. Maybe we misinterpreted the prez because he is sooo smart and we are soo dumb.

Star Trek is a made sci-fi universe. and yet like all made up universes (worlds) it is a facsimile/shadow of the real one.

I especially like the running man quote.

No matter how perfect your society is, if there is an evil person, they will be able to trash it no matter what you proscribe such as land mines, nukes, or guns.

What it comes down to ... is that you have to be or try to be smarter, stronger or more determined than that evil man (or men).

That's it. That's all.
