Russia - Ukraine Border Is Buzzing With Russian Miltiary Activity

Rebels Falter, but Russian Border Buzzes With Military Activity -- New York Times

DONETSK, Russia — They arrive every day, carloads of young men and women in camouflage who pass through this Russian border checkpoint before heading for the battlefields of eastern Ukraine.

Although patches sewn into their uniforms identify them as separatists, their passports are routinely stamped by Russian officials. After passing by a monitoring station from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and a Ukrainian border post now operated by the separatists, they disappear into Ukraine’s civil war.

The rebel war effort may be flagging, but the Russian border in the region still controlled by the separatists remains a hive of military activity.

I have heard reports of Russian soldiers with artillery in Ukraine from my norwegian state newspaper and the Russian aid convoi has crossed the border before all of it was searced. I wonder where this will go eighter the pro-Russians will win or are Russia starting a slow and subtle invation?

What is a state newspaper? Isn't the term state newspaper an oxymoron?

Meant the news, in Norway it is NRK norwegian broad casting and they have a internet newspaper that covers the most important news and some trivial things to. Its owned by the state thats why i call it the state newspaper but we have others like VG and Dagbladet. One of the thing i like with NRK is that they focus on more important cases then some of the other newspapers and are more quicker to fix mistakes if they have linked to missinformation so they are a safe source. VG is the most popular internett newspaper in Norway and cover a good mix of news. By the way we in Norway call the internet news for newspaper out of old habbit but still somone read paper newspapers but thats not so coomon as it was for 4-6 years ago.
