Israel, Palestinians Continue Talks as Cease-fire End Nears -- Voice of America

The threat of renewed war in Gaza loomed on Wednesday as the clock ticked toward the end of a three-day cease-fire with no sign of a breakthrough in indirect talks in Cairo between Israel and the Palestinians.

A Palestinian official described the negotiations as at a "very sensitive stage," but there was no public indication that a breakthrough was near.

The halt in fighting is due to end as a 72-hour cease-fire expires late Wednesday (2100 UTC, 5 p.m. EDT).

1.
What impact on the crisis will this have?
2.
There are altso some conflicting news on the aid convoy, that it has splitted its self into two parts one heading to Kharkov and the other one is heading towards Luhansk, i think it will pass through a pro-Russian checkpoint. Many western newspapers think that this humanitary convoi are a form of troyan horse or is just PR. What are your opinion on this Russian convoy?

I did not know that pro-Russian rebel commander Strekov was wounded .... thank you for the link. His departure will probably make little difference in this war. He is one of many dozens of rebel commanders.

This Russian aid convoy should make everyone suspicious. Moscow is not in the habit of sending aid .... but I suspect that in this case the aid is legitimate. We shall know the truth soon enough.

One of my Norwegian sources who are very pro-Ukrainian says that the humanitarian situration in Luhansk and Donetsk is not so bad and the shop shelves are full, and he means it is suspicus that the Russians are sending so much humanitarian aid. I think it is either a pretext for invasion or it is supplies for the pro-Russians to undere a siege and avoiding a humanitarian catastrophe. I found out that Strekov or Strelkov if that is the right way to pronounsce the name was wounded since i follow a live reddit feed of news in the Ukraine crisis its mostly from the wester view point and not the Russian one, here is the link: http://www.reddit.com/live/3rgnbke2rai6hen7ciytwcxadi

and the Norwegian source in on a forum thread he mostly post from the pro-Ukrainian view point and he also makes fun of some Russian propaganda. Here is a link to the forum thread: http://www.diskusjon.no/index.php?s=ecb4e07c3068757fcef066bce2e2643e&showtopic=1570258&&page=106
its in Norwegian but some of the articels posted are in either Russian or English the sourch i am talking about has the nicname arthon.

No water or electricity for 11 days .... the situation is dire in Luhansk. Donetsk is probably just as bad.

Thank you for the Reddit feed, I have other sources but more is always OK. I just wish I had more time to cover this story.
