Edward Snowden Did Not Raise Concerns About Surveillance Programs: National Security Agency -- Radio Australia/AFP

The US National Security Agency (NSA) was unable to find evidence that whistleblower Edward Snowden ever raised concerns internally about its sweeping surveillance programs.

NSA Associate Director for Policy and Records David Sherman said the agency had launched a "comprehensive" investigation after media reports were published about classified NSA spy programs based on information leaked by Snowden.

As part of last year's probe, the NSA collected and searched Snowden's "sent, received and deleted email," including that "obtained by restoring back-up tapes" Mr Sherman said in a sworn declaration filed to the federal court on Friday.

"The search did not identify any email written by Mr Snowden in which he contacted agency officials to raise concerns about NSA programs."

Update: NSA denies whistleblower Snowden ‘raised concerns’ in emails -- RT

My Comment: The problem that the NSA has with Edward Snowden is that every time they have tried to discredit Edward Snowden in the past .... they ended up with egg on their face with new claims on how extensive their surveillance programs are when it comes to spying on the American public. Bottom line .... the NSA no longer has credibility in my eyes when it comes to Edward Snowden. And when I read reports like this one .... U.S. threatened massive fine to force Yahoo to release data (Washington post) .... my anger and blood pressure goes up even more (I use to be an investor in Yahoo) .
