A Look At How The Islamic State Changed From A Guerilla Army To A Major Player In The Middle East

From Guerrillas To Conquerors: How ISIS Has Changed -- Justin Bronk, CNN

(CNN) -- It is a question that the global community is seeking to understand as the crisis in Iraq and Syria deepens. How can such a numerically small force as ISIS, which calls itself the Islamic State, has taken control of vast swathes of Syria and Iraq, and how can it hold the ground taken while simultaneously conducting multiple offensive actions in both countries?

The most recent CIA estimate in September 2014 put the total number of ISIS fighters in Iraq and Syria at between 20,000 and 31,500. But such numbers, while alarming, are not nearly enough to explain the stunning military successes the group has enjoyed.

Poultices are used to draw out an infection.

After we had been in Iraq for a while and after we started to being down the monthly casualties, Some said that it was better to draw all the Jihadis to one place and kill them.

I tend to agree. There will be less casualties then if the jihadis had sudden jihadi syndrome elsewhere in the world and there has been calls for it in Australia and other places.

Islamic State: Militant group calls on supporters to kill Australians 'in any possible way'

In Britain, the politicians seem mainly concerned with clearing up the blood and bodies and to prevent Brits from speaking out against it and venting. So it is better that the Jihadis go to Iraq than stay in Australia , Britain or some other country.

Iraq is a good killing ground. Why not. No one really cared when the Yazidis, Kurds and others were forced to become refugees. We had all the usual excuses as to why we could do nothing.

Gsdaffi for all his bad ideals and malice understood this. He let people leave Libya for Iraq
Gaddaffi did not actively send or support Libyans traveling to Iraq from 2003 to 2011. He was just glad to be rid of them.
