Iran's President Says Nuclear Deal With West 'Certain' -- Reuters
(Reuters) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Monday a nuclear deal with the West was bound to happen and he believed it could be achieved by a November 24 deadline.
"We have reached consensus on generalities and there are only the fine details to be worked out: whether we would reach an agreement within the next 40 days, if the time will be extended, etc.," the president told his people in a late evening address broadcast live on television.
"Of course details are important too, but what's important is that the nuclear issue is irreversible. I think a final settlement can be achieved in these remaining 40 days. We will not return to the situation a year ago. The world is tired and wants it to end, resolved through negotiations," he said.
"A nuclear settlement is certain," he said, vowing to "apply all our efforts in that direction."

Wowsers. Any chance the real problem will accept any such deal - and what kind of s disaster will it be ? ( Note. Obama cannot rescind sanctions. ) https://www.transcend.org/tms/pdf/?article_id=5585

Wowser
If the sanctions against Russia over Ukraine hurt the Russian economy, then it proves sanctions can work.
Up until 2 years ago sanctions were hurting the Iranian economy. It was not hurting the lifestyle of the leadership, but it was hurting Iran.
With Iran hurting economically and facing war with ISIS in Syria,Iraq and potentially Lebanon, Iran may have been so fiscally squeezed by the demands of war and the sanctions to come clean on the nuke program.
but since Obama had already eased sanctions it would take another year or 2 to ramp up to where the Iranian leadership felt the same heat.
Part of the reason for the ramp up of Iranian repression at home is not just because people are justly sick of their monopoly of power and repression. It is also because of the sanctions. More pressure or more time would cause the regime to crack & at the very least slow down their ambitions.
If America or Western Europe is the problem and Iran is not ( or a much lesser problem), I suggest that you leave and live in a much better society that apparently already exists on earth.
