Texas Health Worker Is Positive For Ebola, Would Be 1st Ebola Transmission In U.S. -- CNN
(CNN) -- A health care worker at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas has tested positive for Ebola after a preliminary test, the state's health agency said.
Confirmatory testing will be conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
The employee helped care for Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person ever diagnosed with Ebola in the United States. Duncan died Wednesday.
"We knew a second case could be a reality, and we've been preparing for this possibility," Dr. David Lakey, commissioner of the Texas Department of State Health Services, said in a statement Sunday morning.

I am not liking this either the government is lying or the nurse effed up.
Until they say specifically when where & how the nurse messed up, why should we believe the government?
It is almost always the same with a large organization. One of the worker bees always messed up until it is proven they did not.
If plane crashes, blame the pilot.
The pilot might be the problem in 50% to 90% of the time.
But the government has lied about the airborne spread and about the whole you have to touch a ebola victim or their fluids.
I concur, since eighter this version of Ebola is airborne or the nurse messed up somthing. But since she was wearing full protection gear and she still got infected it must be airborne. But if the US goverment has a good reason that exsplains this It would nice to hear it. Hope the same will not happen in Norway, we also have somone sick in a hospital and I hope it will not spread further.
The nurse could have taken off her suit wrong after being with the patient and thereby contaminated herself by touching the outer layer of her suit..
My problem is that they assume this is true.I give a better than 50% chance that it is.
The only thing I can think of to stop this is to have a supervisor or quality checker to watch through a glass window each and very person in the decontamination chamber and in the disrobing room after it.
We don't know if it is airborne from person to person. We do know it is suspected to be airborne between monkeys and pigs. But you have to read the right media to find this out. You have to read slightly more specialized website. Not professional sites, but still more specialized than the mainstream media.
They may have lied to try to maintain calm. A person could argue that it is commendable. There is something to be said for it.
But in this day and age such a lie would not hold long. They have been caught in so many lies that there very lying causes panic and conspiracy theories.
The Disease Daily is a slightly more specialized site.

Someone else posted it to a forum and I went to the site. I do not consider this site alarmist or conspiratorial.
But when I searched now, I get all sorts of conspiracy sites in the top 10 google search returns.
So in my humble opinion (IMHO) the authorities made things worse when they lied.
Thank you for the sourch.
