On The Ground Report From The Syrian - Turkish Border

U.S. Planes Are Blowing The Hell Out Of ISIS At Kobani, But .... -- Jamie Dettmer, Daily Beast

Airstrikes that appear to be coordinated with Kurdish guerrillas have escalated dramatically, but they may not be enough to save the town.

SURUC, Turkey — High in the blue sky above I think I can make out a dart of silver—or maybe it is a trick of sunlight and puffy white clouds and my imagination trying to match the sound of warplanes zooming back and forth with an actual glimpse of them. All day there has been the distant roar of U.S. fighters over the besieged Syrian border town of Kobani, and for much of Wednesday night, too. One local farmer muttered to me it was like living next door to an airport—but one with a difference. Every now and then—in the afternoon about every 30 minutes—the noise of a passing warplane would be obscured for a moment by the thundering bang of a missile or precision-guided bomb striking a target.

My Comment:  It must be a surreal sight .... on one side of the border there is chaos and war .... on the other side .... spectators.

Word got back to Obama that his low poll #s would sink further if Kobania fell.

So Obama opened up the spigot on air strikes.

but it doesn't work like that.

ISIS will pay a higher price than they want to pay. Very much higher. But they will pay it.

The time to turn on the spigot on air strikes was not when the ISIS and Kurdish fighter were danger close when it came to CAS or artillery. the time to hit ISIS was when they were in the open approaching Kobani.

Many grade schoolers could do better against ISIS than Obama and virtually all middle schoolers.
