The Merger Of ISIS And al-Qaeda Could Cripple The Civilized World -- Riyadh Mohammed, The Fiscal Times

As ISIS continues to advance on the Syrian town of Kobani and close in on Turkey’s border, experts in Islamic radical movements think the terror group may merge with its al-Qaeda mother organization soon. Together, the group would represent the greatest terror threat to the civilized world.
“I think Britain, Germany and France will witness significant attacks in their territories by the Islamic State. Al-Baghdadi [the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, otherwise known as ISIS] may reconcile with al-Zawhiri [the leader of the al-Qaeda central organization] to fight the crusader enemy. The attacks by the United States and her allies will unite the two groups,” said Hisham al-Hashimi, an Iraqi researcher who just finished writing a book about ISIS based on his unique access to the organization’s documents and years of research and advising Iraqi security forces.

My Comment: Al Qaeda will be the junior partner in such an alliance .... for it is the Islamic State that has the manpower, resources, and momentum to carry the dream of the Caliphate further.

The top commenter on the story (56 up votes) is a troll or completely to the LEFT & does get that ISIS rules large parts of 2 countries in the world. These are not small countries but medium sized ones. This same salafist philosophy already makes large parts of other countries ungovernable.
They have no regard for the refugees, the rapes, the executions or anything.
I would put these people down to Paulbots or people on the far Left.
They could be convinced but the person ding so has to be open about their trying to convince people. If it is an influence operation and it is uncovered these people will reset and be stuck in the mud harder than ever.
I could see partner in the War on Terror such as Russia or China doing this even if it hurts the overall effort. The political turmoil in Europe or America would cause those countries to look inward and tend to domestic strife rather than challenge those 2 countries in other spheres.
Someone like Assange or Snowden would do it because their have true belief and do not have to stand for election while simultaneous be held accountable for a population that gets bombed.
