* Chief medical officer has warned medics to remain vigilant to signs of virus
* Universities and schools also told to look out for Ebola symptoms in pupils
More than 750 British military personnel and a medical ship will be deployed to West Africa to help fight the Ebola epidemic.
The ship, RFA Argus, which has a fully-equipped hospital including critical care and high-dependency units, will be sent to Sierra Leone, along with three Merlin helicopters, it is understood.
The latest effort by Britain to help curb the spread of the deadly virus emerged following a meeting of the Government's Cobra emergency committee, chaired today by the Prime Minister.
