Tank Column Crosses From Russia Into Ukraine: Kiev Military -- Reuters
(Reuters) - A column of 32 tanks, 16 howitzer artillery systems and trucks carrying ammunition and fighters has crossed into eastern Ukraine from Russia, the Kiev military said on Friday.
"The deployment continues of military equipment and Russian mercenaries to the front lines," spokesman Andriy Lysenko said in a televised briefing referring to Thursday's cross-border incursion.
The report of a new Russian movement of armor across the border follows a charge on Thursday by pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine that Kiev government forces had launched a new offensive - which Kiev immediately denied.

My Comment: If these reports are true .... and so far it is only the Ukraine military that is making these claims .... it would then explain why the Russian National Security Council hastily met yesterday .... Russian President Putin Holds National Security Council Meeting On The Deteriorating Situation In Ukraine.

Peter St. John ... I posted this story because it is a breaking news story, and major news agencies are now reporting it. It could be false .... but for the moment no one knows and I suspect that many reporters and observers are now scrambling to find out if it is true. The OSCE saw Bupkis, the Ukraine Military made no claims of a location, not even specifying if it was in the Donbass or Lugansk,
And there are Western Journalists in the East now, so, we will see over the next few days, if there is any legs to this story.
These guys don't seem to think they'll be outdoors very long. Almost no extra gear hung on the outside of these vehicles.

The vehicles in the photo, are from an exercise in Russia, earlier in the summer.
Perhaps if I paid attention to the photo credit I wouldn't miss the obvious. Miss a few more this badly and I'll have a job at CNN.
