MOSCOW, November 15 (RIA Novosti) – The civil war rages in eastern Ukraine despite reconciliation agreements reached this fall with the participation of Russia and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Russian president said Wednesday.

Just to ask how reliable are Jamestown as a source? I read one of their cases were they claim Russia will force Abkhazia to sign a "agreement" where the country will be annexed, if they refuse, then Russia will eigther close the border or treat Abkhazians as 2nd class citizens. Have you heard anything about this case war news? Since does Jamestown cover cases that the mainstream media dosen't cover? But thank you Aizino Smith for posting this, nice to see other new sources :)

Rhaegar,

If you google it, you will find that The Jamestown Foundation is a former Soviet Dissedent/neo-conservative/neo-liberal Think Tank.

OMG we would not want to hear
from a former Soviet Dissidents!

That would be so 80s!

I better pre-emptively lock up my spouse before they say something about the old ways that failed. Some true believer in the West may want to have them arrested. They were never a dissident, but what they would say would be heresy.

Rhaegar,

I read an opinion piece by Stephen Green. He referenced the The Jamestown Foundation article. Now Mr Green and the foundation will be right or they will be wrong. It might take 6 months for a year to see.

We might not be able to get such information in the mainstream media(MSM). If I were to believe the MSM. Wendy Davis had a chance in Texas. Mrs Nunn had a shot in Georgia. Orman was going to win in Kansas and Mitch McConnell was going to lose.

There might not be open warfare. Most probably if political leaders make some noise and Kyiv takes care of their concerns politically, the MSM will be none the wiser and we won't hear of it. Time and attention will still be take up to resolve something outside the MSMs's view, but will still, serve to distract Kyiv.

The Jamestown Foundation

Before I posted yesterday I had not checked out "The Jamestown Foundation".

It is very scary place!

Dr Zbigniew Brzezinski was on the board of directors!

I guess you have all bases covered when it comes to disdain and disparagement when you say neo-liberal and neo-conservative in the same sentence. I wondered about the 2 neos until I saw the Bruce Riedel of the Brookings Institute (which is liberal) is on the board. Now, I know where neo-liberal comes in. We have an official conspiracy!

WNU,
This is the first time I've really looked at that photo above. Beyond the obvious effects of aging, he does look a little puffy. Also this is the first photo of him of this type I've ever seen. I'm going to have to perk up and pay more attention to ones published after this one.

There are a lot of people in Moscow talking about Putin's health right now. He has disappeared three times in the past few months for a few days. The excuse has always been .... vacation, birthday, state business .... but three times in five months .... this is new.
