James. Your attention to details always amazes me.

All of these outfits are real big on how things "appear", but the Chinese from what I know are really into protocol and precedence, so none of this is accidental and is essentially a message and an insult.

Absolutely James .... protocol and precedence is big in China. Here is a personal example .... when I started my tour in China the Ambassador told me that the best title to have is "Special Assistant to the Ambassador". My real title was some junior position as counsel on trade and banking ... but I adopted that "Special Assistant" position.

Holy Smokes!!!!! Before I knew it I had access to everyone and everyone wanted access to me. Apparently in China the big shots never meet .... it is always the Special or Executive Assistants that meet ... decide on what needs to be done ....and then tell the old guys that everyone is in agreement with this policy or position. Don't get me wrong .... the old guys still ran the show .... but the Chinese always wanted these buffers and protocols in placed .... and I must give them credit .... it worked and it still works.

Sighhh ... the stories that I can tell .... maybe one day.

As for what the Chinese are doing to President Obama right now .... no question about it .... they are stiffing and insulting him big time.
