Washington Post: In shift, U.S. military says it is investigating credible civilian casualty reports in Iraq and Syria

WNU Editor: Aside from looking at Air-force combat footage and viewing press reports .... not having boots on the ground in Islamic State controlled areas to determine if there are civilian casualties is going to put into doubt any conclusions that such a probe may eventually publish.

The group Human Rights Campaign has justification for complaining.

They could not rule the country of 300+ million people and keep them safe.

At some point they would have to engage in military action or go to war.

As soon as they did that they will cause civilian casualties, because they are not perfect.

So just hollering civilian casualties is a scam.

The Russians had civilian casualties when the tried to rescue the hostages in the theater and the tactical team were trying very hard to rescue all of the hostages.

HRW is the peanut gallery. Whatever group they criticize they could not do as well as them and would most likely do worse.

What is more their excessive attempts at fault finding & preening cause real harm.

Real harm is when you carpet bomb cities or use incendiaries. There is just no comparison between now and say WW2.
