U.S. Supports U.N. And Russian Peace Efforts On Syria

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry (L) listens to U.N. Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura during their meeting in Geneva, Jan. 14, 2015.

Voice of America: Kerry Expresses Support for UN, Russian Syria Peace Efforts

WNU Editor: This is an acknowledgement that the U.S. has no influence in shaping the direction that Syria should take. This should not surprise anyone .... the country is now divided between the Assad regime and the various hard-core Sunni-Extremist groups like the Islamic State/al-Nusra/etc. .... and both sides have no interest in dealing with the U.S.. And as for the rebel groups that may be sympathetic to the U.S. .... they are too few and too scattered to make a difference.
