A U.S. - Iran Alliance For Stability In Afghanisatan, Iraq, And Afghanistan?

Breitbart: Report: U.S. Prepared To Rely Upon Iran For Regional Stability In Afghanistan, Iraq & Syria

European officials have reportedly relayed a message to Israeli officials about the Obama administration’s plans concerning the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran. The U.S. and Iran are reportedly closing in on a deal that would allow the Ayatollah’s regime to keep the vast majority of its centrifuges running, while also allowing for Iran to be in charge of stabilizing its surrounding region.

WNU Editor: The Europeans were the ones who told Israel on what is the current situation in the Iranian nuclear talks .... not the U.S.. If this report is true it says volumes on what is the current state of affairs between Israel and the U.S..

WNU,
Think back to your FO days. When you have obvious confusion in high levels of government (re: Defense dept and some levels of State) it's pretty certain that high level closely held personal negotiations are being held. The outline of what this Administration is trying to pull off is there for anyone to see. They know it would be very unpopular with the American public at large and to many people in their own Administration. The bottom line is they don't care for they think they are right and everyone else is wrong. This would be the finishing touch on the corruption of American foreign policy truly begun with the original "War Powers Act" dating back to Viet Nam. Attempting to seal a treaty with Iran that gives them hegemony in the Mid East with out the approval of the American people through the Senate is going to have consequences almost beyond calculation. Also do you think given Russia and Iran's relationship and interaction over the last 30+ years that Putin doesn't know exactly what's being discussed between Iran and the US. To believe otherwise would be naive in my opinion. I am not against bold moves and upending the status quo in a general sense, but you'd better really know what your doing when you attempt it.

That is what scares me about this administration. I do not think the phrase "strategic thinking" is in their vocabulary. That everything they do is based on how good would it look politically for the moment .... not on the long term consequences.

Well that is the curse of politicians and election cycles.
