Editor's Note
Wow .... I rarely do this but I checked the traffic stats for this blog. According to Google I have had over 12,000,000 page visits to this blog in the past few years. I am truly humbled by this recognition. Thank you.
Everyday I read your posts and it worth it, you are a good sourch who reports on very intersting news that are very important in my my eyes. Thank you for making this blog and still posting, you are doing a good job :)
Thank you for your blog. I came to your blog thinking the NY TImes/Guardian were the only places to get complete/accurate coverage of world events. However, your site proved me wrong (NYT and Guardian are still great). I have learnt a lot, thank you. Sadly though, when I'm out at a BBQ with friends or drinking beer with my mates, the conversation often turns from witty stories about past conquests or tragic career ending sports injuries, to more serious matters. I'm often asked for my point of view. Thankfully I read WNU. And my mates don't. By memorizing some of your personal and/or reader comments on certain articles, I have been able to completely dominate most conversations and in the process quickly positioned myself as the doyen on world events gaining me an elevated standing amongst my friends that is way above my pay grade. Long my that last or until I get busted. I enjoy your blog and I like your attitude to life (fast cars, wine, women, skiing, Friday night war movies). Though I think a bit more leisure time might be in order... though I figure your GF is already telling you that.
I visit 3-5 times a day, every day. Your blog is a gem and I can't thank you enough for taking the time to construct it and keep it going. Many awesome sites like yours tend to eventually drop ads on the side, clutter their pages and develop a bias. If you keep things the way they have been, you are going to have many people following you for quite some time. Your insight in the Chinese and Russian arena are also great to have access to.
I have been involved in numerous computer science projects since the 1980s, as well as developing numerous web projects since 1996.
These blogs are a summation of all the information that I read and catalog pertaining to the subjects that interest me.

And I read it daily via RSS, which might not even show up on the traffic stats. So, if anything, that's a low estimate!a
