The leaders of Germany, Russia, France and Ukraine are set to meet in Minsk later this week to continue to seek a resolution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine. This followed a telephone call linking the four leaders.

Ukraine President Poroshenko has indicated numerous times in the past that he will never support the option of federalism for the east, and he will certainly not accept the new territories that pro-Russian rebels have seized in the past two weeks.
